Committee Functions
The Advisory Committee is a group of persons outside of the education profession who are recognized and respected in their
fields of work who advise CTE educators, administrators, and local Board of Education members regarding programs based on
the employment needs of the community, state, regional, national, and international marketplace.
The group may assist Hudson ISD by answering the following questions:
The Advisory Committee's primary function is to act in an advisory capacity for the development and operation of the CTE program at Hudson High School. Services offered to the district may include:

- What skills should training include?
- Is current curriculum addressing industry needs?
- How can instructors verify competencies to industry standards?

- Providing expert advice
- Offering business-centered points of view
- Assisting in public relations activities
- Assisting in placement of graduates
- Helping to update educational programs
- Assisting in transition to post-secondary education programs
- Offering training sites for on-the-job training
